These are some of the most bizarre true stories ever. The mysteries of most of these have never been solved.
1. Ghostly Car Crash - December 11th, 2002
Two bikers called the police to report witnessing a car crash. According to them, a car was swerving off a road with headlights blazing. A police investigation discovered later that a car was concealed under some shrubs. They found the driver, Christopher Chander, and discovered that he had been dead for a long time. It turns out that the car crash occurred 5 months earlier when he was reported missing by his own brother.
2. The Balloon Sisters - June 2001
That summer, Laura Buxton released a helium balloon in Staffordshire. She attached her own name, address, and a written note to it. The note asked the person who finds it to write back to her. Ten days later, she received a reply from another Laura Buxton. She found the balloon in her garden in Wiltshire, 140 miles away. The curious thing about it is that they both share the same name, the age of 10, 3-year-old black labradors, a rabbit and a guinea pig.
3. The Mourning Bees - June 1994
Margaret Bell kept bees 7 miles away from her hometown of Shropshire, England. She died in June 1994. At the day of the funeral, something curious happened. Right after the procession, when the family went home, they found a hundreds of bees gathered in clusters opposite her house. Everyone got amazed by it. It's as if the bees knew she died and paid her their last respects.
4. Moving Earth Holes - October 1984
A weird looking hole was found near Grand Coulee, Washington State. The problem is that just a month later it wasn't located at the same place. Like it was dragged somewhere else. The stone and earth dribbles led to a three-ton grass-covered earth divot. It looked almost as if it was cut out from the earth. There was no evidence of what that could have happened.
5. The Wind Children - 1992
A 9-years-old Chinese girl had been struck by a whirlwind in Shanghai. She landed safely on a tree top almost two miles away. Just several weeks before, the wind took 13 children into the air and landed them down safely, with no harm done.
6. Misty's Mystical Hum
A sound similar to amplifier feedback was troubling the lives of locals for three years. The noise came from the right ear of a Welsh pony called Misty. According to a veterinarian, it was a case of Objective tinnitus, a rare form of tinnitus that causes others to hear the noise. But the case of Misty hasn't been proven and it is still a matter of debate among doctors.
7. The Toxic Woman
Gloria Ramirez, aged 31, died of kidney failure in California. The body was taken to Riverside hospital, and a doctor found that her skin was covered in an oily sheen. When her blood sample was taken, everyone felt some kind of fume evaporation in the air. Her blood sample was full of strange white crystals. Nothing was explained. And all who were in contact with her were affected. The doctor suffered damage of the liver and lungs, as well as bone necrosis.
8. Voices of the Saviors
A woman in Britain heard voices in her head, and they told her to visit a specific address. When she found the place, it was a Hospital radiology department. Then, the voices told her to book a brain scan because she has a tumor. After the examination, the scan showed that she indeed had a tumor. After the operation, everything was fine, and the voices spoke to her again: ''We are pleased to have helped you.'' They said ''Good-bye.'' She made a full recovery.
9. La Mancha Negra
There was a report of a hazardous slippery goo appearing near Caracas. It was called La Mancha Negra - the Black Stain. Reported for the first time in 1987, with a length of 50 yards, it made the roads extremely hazardous. Many bikers had accidents and many of them died. The phenomenon of these black stains remains a mystery, as they only appear on roads.
10. A Farewell from a Postcard
Jim Wilson's father died in Natal, in South Africa, 1967. Jim was living in England, and his sister Muriel lived in Holland when they were informed of their father's death. Muriel's husband, who was in Portugal at the time, flew to Africa. During a flight transfer in the Canary Islands, he bought a postcard depicting tourists on Margate Beach. Muriel discovered that her father was the man on that postcard and that he was photographed while he was walking on the beach.
11. Unexplainable Fires
A remote village on Sicily's north coast has problems with fire. There are unexplainable fire breakouts that can catch TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, etc. At first, it was thought that there was a pyromaniac. But after a thorough research, the police ruled out the pyromaniacs. The village was evacuated twice, but soon after the second breakout, the problems with fire increased.
12. The Boy Who Turned into a Yam
In Maiduguri, Nigeria, three boys told their headmistress something amazing. Their friend was turned into a Yam root after taking sweets from a stranger. She couldn't believe the story so she followed them. They actually found the Yam on the street. She took it straight to the police office. What happened next remained a mystery forever.
13. The Cow Enigma
Something macabre was found east of Rio Cuarto in San Luis province. Nineteen cows were stuffed into a metal water tank and it was closed with a conical cap. Nine of them died, while the rest were found unharmed.
