Flying can be scary to a lot of people, to say the least. Especially in today's culture when airplanes are considered to be even safer than car travel, some folks are very superstitious about a great many things, like the infamous 13th row on airplanes.

7 major airlines, such as Ryanair and Continental don't have a 13th row on the planes. The ratio in favor of inclusion for the 13 row is still larger to some extent.

A manager stated this: “On board Lufthansa aircraft correspondingly the twelfth row is followed by the 14th. The attentive passenger, however, will also notice the absence of row 17. The reason is that in Italy and Brazil, 17 is regarded as unlucky.”
