These 9 Differences Will Tell You if You’re Getting a Fake or a Real Perfume
Posted on Nov 14, 2016
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't know what the difference between the real and the fake perfume is? Well, yes, the scent lasts longer, but what if you can't test it before you buy it? Here are some ways to tell.
1. The Most Obvious One
The perfume design is something that makes it unique, so, if you are not sure that the design is exactly like the one you wanted to buy, don't buy it. Fake perfumes look a little like their originals, but they are not the same.
2. Identification Number
An original perfume bottle always contains an engraved or printed serial number at the bottom of it. It's attached in any way to the bottle, that means it's a fake one. The code can be also found inscribed on the box.
Find pictures of the real box online, and compare it to the perfume that you're buying. If all the tags and labels are the same, the perfume is not fake.
4. Perfectly Packaged
The original perfume is in the package that perfectly fits the product. If this is not the case, be sure it's a fake one.
5. Check Out the Cap of the Bottle
Also, if the perfume cap is asymmetrical and it the design just looks off, it's not an original perfume.
6. Color Intensity
The color needs to look as natural as possible. Fake perfumes have a more intense color than the real ones because dyes are added.
7. Inside of a Perfume's Package
Real perfumes should be packed in a way that they are held in place. If they are not, you found the fake ones.
8. The Bottle Itself
If the perfume bottle's surface is rough and has scratches or any other imperfections, it's also a fake one.
9. The Wrapped Seam
Make sure that it's seam is in a perfect state. No glue traces should be found.
