5. The Sound of Music: German Farmer Delays the Filming
When the filming of this iconic scene from The Sound of Music began, an angry German farmer arrived on the set, and he started screaming at the crew. He claimed that they were upsetting his cows. He sabotaged the set, destroying valuable props and filming equipment. He delayed the expensive scene by two days.
6. The Shawshank Redemption: Worm Abuse?
The production was delayed because of a scene which showed a worm being eaten by a bird. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals stopped the filming because they considered this to be animal cruelty. The filming was delayed, and the crew had to find a worm that was already dead.
7. Charlie’s Angels: Bill Murray Hated Lucy Liu
Murray wasn't in the sequel because of a feud with Lucy Liu. In the first film, he stopped in the middle of a scene and told the actress: "I get why you’re here (Barrymore). And you’ve got talent (Diaz). But what in the hell are you doing here? You can’t act (Liu)." She was infuriated, and she punched him several times.
8. Airplane! Dispute Over the Actual Plane
The original aircraft in Airplane! was supposed to be a 1950s propeller plane, and the owner of Paramount did not like the idea. The project was almost abandoned because the writers did want to use the passenger plane that Paramount suggested.
