Mount Ararat in Turkey is commonly linked to Noah's Ark in biblical texts, but it seemed that wasn't an important detail since the story can't be proven either way. However, an American explorer may have proven that an archaeological site found deep within the mountain is the legendary Ark of the Covenant.

The military took aerial photographs in 1965 to have a detailed map of its terrain, and one captain, named Llhan Durupinar noticed a strange shape on the slopes of Mount Ararat that seemed like it didn't belong there.
