There's a hotel in New York that is surrounded by tragedy and mystery. Hotel Shanley still exists today, but if you want to stay there, but you have to sign a contract confirming that you're responsible for everything that might happen to you while you're there.

It was built in 1895. James Shanley bought the hotel in 1906. This photo of his family was taken in the 20s. 3 of Shanley's newborn babies died here.

3. Daughters of the Barber

Daughters of the Barber
There was a barber who lived in the hotel. One of his daughters fell in the well. People believe that her ghost still roams the hotel.

4. Influenza Death

Influenza Death
Shanley’s sister-in-law died of influenza in the hotel. From her death in 1918, people have said she haunts the rooms. James' brother also died in the hotel.
